Reading Climbing Centre was opened in September 2010 by Stephen Venables CBE in the ex Robert Cort foundry building.
The building is a 16,000 sq ft high-bay building benefiting from easy access from the M4 corridor and ample free parking. The building is leased on a secure 20 year lease from the family run engineering company Robert Cort Limited.
Reading is the largest centre in the Climbing Centre Group and offers substantial roped climbing rising to a height of 18 metres with 112 roped lines and over 500 square metres of bouldering. The centre has a 16 seat community and conference room and benefits from an onsite café and retail outlet.
The centre is managed a dedicated Centre Manager who is supported by an Assistant Manager, Operations Manager 6 duty managers and a team of up to 30 instructors who cover the course and session delivery amongst other general duties.
